Dr Sinavy Sao, O.D.

Dr. Sinavy Sao is a Long Beach local. She is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences and a minor in Psychology. She attained her degree of Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 2006. Dr. Sao is T.P.G. certified to treat ocular diseases and glaucoma.
Since 2007, Dr. Sao has been working along side a renowned ophthalmologist and corneal surgeon, Dr Dan Tran M.D. She has managed countless patients with cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, LASIK, and children with amblyopia. Dr. Sao enjoys the management of ocular diseases as it adds to her well rounded experience as an Optometrist. Spending most of her career in the Long Beach area she is highly comfortable doing eye exams in Spanish and Khmer.
Dr. Sao has been a part of the practice, formally Dr. Gary A. Hagen’s, since 2000. She started off as a student volunteer, later the front desk receptionist, and has gone full circle in taking over for Dr. Hagen & Ruben Ortiz in their retirement.
Besides the joys of being a mom to her two boys Dylan and Marley, Dr. Sao enjoys traveling, gardening, and her two dogs (a long haired chihuahua and a mini shih tzu).

Dr. Sochet Sao is our do it all handyman. Not only does he see patients, he also makes your glasses himself. Dr. Sao has over ten years of self taught on the job training as an optician after graduating from college. He has picked up additional skills from working with Dr. Gary Hagen and now edges lenses into even the most difficult of frames. The result is quality craftsmanship that is hard to come by.

Dr. Sao is TPA certified to treat ocular diseases and glaucoma.
Dr Sao also excels in fitting specialty cases of gas permeable contact lenses. He is T.P.G. certified to treat ocular diseases and glaucoma.
Besides his love of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dr. Sao enjoys putting his creative talents to work via drawing/painting and the ever continuous home design/maintenance. He loves being a stay at home dad a few days a week with his sons Dylan and Marley.

Cynthia Lagunas, Optician

Cynthia is trained all around and loves to help patients find the correct glasses or contacts for their specific needs. She likes keeping the office environment at flow and organized. On her free time she participates in art shows where she displays her art and jewelry creations. Cynthia is currently majoring in Business Analytics.
Estie Sherbak, Optometric Assistant

Estie is a full-time undergraduate student at California State University, Long Beach where she studies Health Science. She hopes to attend Optometry school and receive her degree of Doctor of Optometry in the near future. Estie is from San Diego and enjoys going to the beach, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Ruby Quinones, Optician

Ruby is a part time optician that enjoys giving patients the right adjustments on their glasses and picking out the right frames to suit their needs. On her days off, she likes listening to music/writing, hiking, catching up on shows, and playing with her pet rabbit. She hopes to return to school and major in Music.
